Berks Hand Therapy by Philo is Berks County's largest and most comprehensive facility for upper extremity rehabilitation.
Our therapists are dedicated to the treatment of upper extremity conditions involving the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Your therapist will work with your referring physician to develop a treatment plan that will help you achieve the highest recovery of function.
Hand therapy provides interventions to help people engage in meaningful activities, from holding their dog to playing the piano. In addition to hand therapy, services are available for post-operative breast cancer patients to regain function. Berks Hand Therapy by Philo also provides work conditioning programs, which allow patients to safely return to work.
Berks Hand Therapy by Philo has been providing quality treatment to people of Berks and surrounding counties for over 30 years. The firm was founded in 1987 by Mark Dreibelbis.
Philo Physical Therapy
On October 14, 2024, Berks Hand Therapy merged with Philo Physical Therapy under the management of Thomas Crassas. The expansion in the business has allowed both teams to serve more patients and collaborate with other therapists.
Philo Physical Therapy serves southeastern Pennsylvania with locations in Elverson, Honey Brook, and Wyomissing. We treat a wide array of conditions with focused one-on-one care and personalized treatment plans. Anne Kienle, Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist
Anne graduated from Penn State Berks in 2006 with an Associate degree in occupational therapy and Misericordia in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in occupational science and a Masters degree in occupational therapy. She continued to take courses, focusing on specializing in hand to shoulder therapy. In 2021, Anne became a certified hand therapist.
In addition to helping individuals heal from industrial accidents and recover from surgeries/injuries, she also enjoys helping people with arthritis, chronic pain, and hypermobility. Anne is also certified in manual lymphatic drainage. Common interventions include activity modification, adaptive equipment training, splint fabrication, heat modalities, meaningful activities, and exercises that relate back to each individual’s daily life.
In her free time, Anne enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She enjoys hiking, cooking, tennis, and playing the piano.
Hannah Kocur, Occupational Therapist
Hannah Kocur is an occupational therapist at Berks Hand Therapy, treating conditions affecting the upper extremity including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. Hannah is passionate about helping patients return to the activities that matter most to them. She strives to make each patient’s experience positive, supportive, and individualized. She ensures that each patient feels seen and heard, with their concerns carefully addressed.
As a former gymnast, she has a deep appreciation for movement and strength, which inspires her passion for fitness and informs her approach to helping patients build confidence in movement throughout their recovery. Outside of the clinic, she maintains her focus on health and movement with an active lifestyle, spending time with loved ones, and making time to relax..
Hannah earned a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Gwynedd Mercy University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from West Chester University.
